About this Initiative
It raises awareness and improves understanding of the reality of living with kidney disease, through the sharing of videos that:
- Advocate for patients
- Share their hospital experience
- Highlight kidney issues in their regions
- Thank unrecognized heroes
- Support their causes
Now in its sixth edition, this unique initiative invites the global kidney community to create/submit short videos that reflect the patient experience or provide education on kidney health for the Community Film Event. These are voted for by the kidney community in the months leading up to World Kidney Day and the World Congress of Nephrology. There is a special awards ceremony at WCN. In past editions, we’ve received 25+ video submissions from 20 countries with over 4,000 votes from the kidney community.
