Who are the programs approved by?
The content of industry sessions must be submitted for review and approval by the WCN Congress Organizing Committee (COC) who will ascertain the scientific value of the program. Approval or suggestions for changes by the COC will be communicated and these recommendations must be taken into consideration. Changes cannot be made without approval.
When will we know if the program is approved?
We will confirm within 2-3 weeks of submitting your program.
What is the current industry symposia schedule?
You may find the most up-to-date schedule here: https://www.theisn.org/wcn/exhibition-industry/industry-symposia/
How long is the session?
The slot is 60 minutes long. We recommend a structure of 45-minutes of pre-recorded presentations followed by 15-minutes of live Q&A. After 60 minutes, the broadcasting will end.
What is the process to pre-record the symposia presentations?
Step one
Submit your program proposal and receive approval.
Step two
Speaker(s) will be sent a link to book a timeslot to pre-record their presentation. They will choose a time that suits them and confirm. They will receive by email a link to the meeting and option to add to their calendar.
This link is sent to the speaker email provided during program submission form.
There are 8 timeslots available per day between 09:00 and 16:00 CET from now until March 26, 2021. The final week between 22-26 March is reserved only for industry symposia speakers.
Bookings are first come, first serve.
Step three
The speaker will need to upload their presentation slides before the booked pre-recording session. Speaker(s) will have access to the WCN speaker portal to upload their presentation. They click on the button: MY PRESENTATION UPLOAD.
Step four
The speaker will join the pre-recording session. They will have up to 1-hour to record their presentation. There will be a dedicated technician to guide the speaker through the process.
Can we join our speakers in the pre-recording sessions?
Yes – Please ask your speaker(s) to forward you the calendar invitation after they have confirmed their timeslot. Multiple people can join the speaker as they record.
Can we pre-record our own materials?
Yes – although we recommend to pre-record with the WCN team, it is possible to provide your own file. The deadline to submit this is March 19, 2021. You must submit the video file to this email: [email protected]. Your video must be MP4 format in full HD resolution. Please provide a file with all presentations combined.
How do viewers submit questions?
In the session, to the right of the video stream will be the live Q&A box. Viewers can submit questions. They can up-vote or down-vote others questions.
How do speaker(s) and chair(s) join the live Q&A on the day?
Speaker(s) and chair(s) will be given a link to join the live Q&A. They will join a zoom webinar all together. The technician will be there to guide them through. They will be notified when the live Q&A is beginning so they are prepared to go live.
We advise speaker(s) and chair(s) to wear the same outfit they wore to pre-record their session for fluidity.
We recommend they arrive at the start of the session to watch the pre-recording. They must arrive no later than 15 minutes prior the start of the scheduled live Q&A.
How are the questions received?
Chair(s) will receive a link to webpage that only has the Q&A box. They can moderate the questions. They can remove questions from live view if they deem inappropriate. During the live Q&A, it is the chair(s) role to choose appropriate questions and ask them to the speaker(s).
How will the polling work?
The polling feature is available and the technology provider is Slideo.
A representative from the company can join the session and moderate the polling. It is their role to start the poll (allowing audiences to see the poll on the screen) and to stop the poll. This person will need to be known in advance so they can be given the rights.
Polls will be displayed only after the presentations in the Q&A session.
How many polls can we have?
You can have multiple polls.
Can we have a poll during the pre-recorded part of our session?
This is not recommended.
What is the deadline to provide polling questions and answers?
Please submit polling questions and answers to Paolo Zavalloni at [email protected] by March 19, 2021.
Are we able to see metrics of polling?
Yes.
Are we able to arrange a rehearsal slot before our symposia?
Yes you may book rehearsal slots for your symposia. Please enquire for more information. There are limited slot available.
What is the fee?
Please enquire within.
When are rehearsals planned for?
Please enquire within.
More information will be added here soon.

What data will we receive about WCN’21?
All industry participants will receive a WCN’21 statistics report after the congress with information such as: total number of delegates, % breakdown of interests and practice settings, country and region data, and abstract statistics. This information is general and will not identify any delegate individually.
What data will we receive about our symposia?
Industry symposia organizers will receive an export of their session metrics. It will show the unique amount of visits and the total amount of visits to your session. If the participant has agreed to share their data, the report will contain their registration information including: date of visit, first name, surname, gender, email, affiliation and country. It may also contain: area of activity, professional interest, practice setting (to be confirmed). This data will identify delegate(s) individually and is only shared upon their consent. When delegates log-in to WCN for the first time, they will be prompted to update their profile and set the following preferences:
- Please do (not) share my details with organizers of symposia sessions I attend
- Please do (not) share my details with booths I visit in the Industry Showcase
If the delegate does not give consent to share their registration details, the line in the report will not include any of the abovementioned data.
Will we receive data about other symposia?
Symposia organizers will only receive information pertaining to their own session. They will not receive a comparison report to other symposia.
When will we receive metrics?
Organizers will receive a report on the same day with raw data (end of day CET time). At the end of WCN, exhibitors will receive a cleaned-up version with data graphs.
