Call for expressions of interest/nominations for
ISN Kidney Health Professionals Working Group Members

The ISN welcomes expressions of interest/nominations for the position of members of the ISN Kidney Health Professionals Working Group (KHPWG). The positions will start at the World Congress of Nephrology 2024 (WCN’24).

About the ISN Kidney Health Professionals Working Group (KHPWG)

Nephrologists, nurses, dieticians, social workers, pharmacists, and other kidney allied health professionals all play an important part in delivering improved kidney health to every patient.

Founded by ISN nurses, the KHPWG is working to include and strengthen the role of nurses and other kidney allied health professionals in the ISN community in order to contribute globally to kidney care. The group is currently comprised of nurses.

The KHPWG aims to:

  • Promote awareness of nephrology nursing to the wider nephrology community
  • Develop resources for the nephrology nursing community and beyond
  • Develop collaborations with regional nephrology nursing organizations

The Role

  • Promote awareness of nephrology nursing in the greater nephrology community
  • Participate in KHPWG activities, including webinars, podcasts and creating other content for the ISN academy.
  • Develop collaborations with regional nephrology nursing organizations
  • Promote ISN’s membership benefits and opportunities for nephrology nurses.

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated interest in ISN activities and the capacity to contribute to the KHPWG mission and objectives
  • ISN member in good standing
  • Email accessible and able to regularly connect to conference calls

Additional information

The position will start at WCN’24 for an initial term of approximately 2-years until WCN’26. The position may be renewed for up to two further terms, to a maximum of approximately 6-years (note: renewal is not automatic and based on group’s needs). Timeline – October: Application period open. November: Positions decided by ISN leadership. December: Applicants notified of outcome.
