ISN Renal Pathology Working Group, Member

The ISN welcomes expressions of interest/nominations for the position of member of the ISN Renal Pathology Working Group. The member will start at the World Congress of Nephrology 2024 (WCN’24).

About the ISN Renal Pathology Working Group

The Renal Pathology Working Group aims to build on the expertise of ISN to bridge gaps in renal pathology expertise and provision throughout the world. The Working Group seeks to do this by fostering inter- and intra-regional knowledge and resource exchange.

The Renal Pathology Working Group advances nephrology in developing countries in general and in LICs and LMICs in particular.

The Role

The ISN Renal Pathology Working Group member:

  • Supports the development of renal pathology in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Seeks partnerships with any organization that may help achieve its goals and that are aligned with the ISN’s and Renal Pathology Working Group’s Mission and Objectives.

Selection Criteria

  • Interest in and prior experience in the field of renal pathology and/or renal pathology-related work of the ISN
  • ISN member in good standing
  • For this round, members from LICs, LMICs and UMICs are especially encouraged to apply
  • Email accessible and able to regularly connect to conference calls

Additional information

The position will start at WCN’24 for an initial term of approximately 2-years until WCN’26. The position may be renewed for up to two further terms, to a maximum of approximately 6-years (note: renewal is not automatic and based on group’s needs). Timeline – October: Application period open. November: Positions decided by ISN leadership. December: Applicants notified of outcome.
