This webinar will introduce the key design elements of a cohort study, and provide an overview of the key points to consider when drafting a protocol: study population, study enrollment and follow-up procedures, exposure measurements, endpoints, control of bias and confounding, sample size, and regulatory and ethical considerations.
It will also raise awareness about the challenges in implementing a cohort study and how to address them throughout the study to achieve unbiased population selection, data, and biosample collection, and follow-up.
And finally, this webinar will tackle country-specific challenges in implementing a cohort study and how to address them in the context of various health care systems and research resources.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the key design elements of a cohort study and how to draft a study protocol
- Raise awareness on the challenges in implementing a cohort study and how to address them
- Understand country-specific challenges in implementing a cohort study and how to address them
