The Kidney Disease: Improving Global Outcomes (KDIGO) has updated its Glomerular Diseases Guideline for lupus nephritis (LN) in response to accelerated drug development and new insights from genetic and molecular studies.

The most significant change involves strong recommendations for glucocorticoids combined with mycophenolic acid analogs and/or low-dose intravenous cyclophosphamide, alongside newly approved drugs (belimumab and voclosporin) where relevant.
The guideline also discusses maintenance immunosuppression, CKD progression, and ongoing evaluation of novel therapeutics for LN management.
