ISN Talks and Joint Session at the MSN and CAST Congresses 2021

The 36th Congress of the Malaysian Society of Nephrology (MSN), ‘Strengthening the Basics, Embracing Advances in Nephrology,’ will take place virtually from July 23-24, 2021.

The MSN is an ISN Collective-Member Society and will co-host WCN’22 alongside the Asian Pacific Society of Nephrology.

The congress will be held in conjunction with the virtual 17th Congress of the Asian Society of Transplantation (CAST 2021) from July 25-28, 2021. ISN leaders will hold a joint session with MSN and present several talks throughout both congresses:

July 23 at 2:30 p.m. Malaysian Standard Time (MST – convert to your time zone here)

ISN-MSN Joint Session, chaired by MSN President Adbul Halim Abdul Gafor

  • ISN President Agnes Fogo will deliver a welcome message for WCN’22 in Kuala Lumpur, introducing key features of the event.
  • Past-President Vivek Jha will present the talk, Kidney Disease as a Public Health Problem: Shared Understanding and Sustainable Solutions.’
  • Ong Loke Meng, Head of Nephrology Service, Ministry of Health Malaysia, will give the talk ‘Nephrology in Malaysia: The Visions and the Challenges.’

Vivek Jha on Opportunistic Infections Among Transplant Recipients in Tropical Countries.’

July 25 at 8:30 a.m. MST pre-congress:

President-elect Masaomi Nangaku will present, ‘Transplant-associated Thrombotic Microangiopathy – more than just clot and bleed.’
